Clinical and Therapeutic

Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist, Level 5 (The Jing Method™)

 

You'll choose Clinical if you're looking for support with the management of persistent pain, the kind that's been around a while, that impacts your daily movements and your day to day activities.  It could be due to a joint impingement, to arthritis, to overuse or wear and tear.

Clinical work is structured, the objective is to reduce pain and increase/maintain the mobility and range of motion.  Clinical sessions are longer and carefully planned between us. You won’t be rushed, and you will be heard.  You'll be actively involved in your recovery, and willing to do the work required to achieve the outcome.

Using Jing Method™ protocols, you'll receive a series of treatments that are Clinical, yet feel deeply nourishing, with hot stones, myofascial techniques, stretches and mobilisations flowing smoothly alongside the precision anatomical work.  This will feel like a whole body experience that down regulates the nervous system — blending clinical skill with a deep calm to allow the body to respond naturally.

In addition to the protocols, I bring nearly 2 decades of mind–body knowledge, training and experience to each session, in particular as Pilates teacher, as this enables me to create a structured movement and strengthening plan for you.  But also as a Yoga Teacher and Freediving Instructor, as these modalities are where the importance of breathing, of mindfulness and of self care come in.

 

Lastly, as someone who has experienced shoulder impingement in both shoulders, and was recently diagnosed with arthritis, I now both live with, and manage chronic pain myself.  Giving me a very real insight into your experience.

Massage to Relax Mind and Body

 

You'll choose one of the following options for relaxation of body and mind.  

The 'Nervous System Reset' is a 90 minute treatment including some (or all!) of the following: Guided Body and Breath Meditation, Full Body Massage, Reiki, Hot Stones, Myofascial Techniques, Facial Acupressure, Scalp Massage, Mobilisations, Stretches & Compressions.  We'll chat beforehand to decide what techniques you'd like, or you can leave it to me to facilitate the flow.

The 'Chair Massage' is a 45 minute treatment.  Choose from an Upper Body OR Indian Head Massage - received seated and fully clothed, there’s nothing to prepare, allowing you to arrive as you are and settle in.

The Indian Head Massage is a deeply grounding treatment works through the neck, shoulders, and upper back.  A nourishing scalp massage and acupressure facial are woven in, helping to clear the mind, soften the face, and bring a quiet, floaty sense of balance.

The Upper Body Massage offers an equally delicious treatment for hands and arms, neck and shoulders, and mid and upper back.

Both ease held tension and encourage natural flow through the body. Offering a simple, steady moment to reconnect, leaving you feeling calmer, clearer, and grounded.
